New Space to Lease

Scope of Work: The space at this mall needed to be prepared for a new tenant into what the industry refers to as a “vanilla box”. This means all the existing finishes removed/reworked, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, sprinkler re-arranged or removed/replaced and a new layer of drywall crack-filled and primed for the new tenant to begin their fit-up. This renovation also included a structural re-working of the front wall to accommodate new window glazing and brick finish.
Subterranean Plumbing Repair

Scope of Work: Smack dab in the middle of the cosmetic isle of this Shopper’s Drug Mart store was a broken septic line…6ft down under the concrete slab floor! How do you excavate a 6ft deep hole in the middle of a store while still enabling the drugstore to operate business as usual? Our team pulled it off with some well coordinated steps and careful planning to create the 8×12 foot opening in the floor, remove the material, repair the plumbing, re-fill the excavation, re-build and re-finish the floor in a single week of evenings.
Greener Village Food Bank Offices

Scope of Work: This project was a complete removal of all interior walls and elevated stage area along with a re-arrangement of exterior windows and doors to accommodate the creation of 11 new office spaces and a central collaboration space. Finishes included solid wood door w/full glass and privacy blinds, epoxy flooring and sound deadening materials in walls and suspended ceiling tiles. A rounded corner in the hall added architectural flare and function to the now bright welcoming office space.
Greener Village Food Bank Kitchen Learning Centre

Scope of Work: This project included a 600sf addition to expand the capacity and function of this kitchen that is used to teach members of the community food preparation and cooking skills by a Red Seal Chef. The expansion provided space to double the number of cooking learners to 24 students, install commercial grade kitchen equipment/appliances, add a pantry, add 2 universal bathrooms and 3 individual bathrooms, as well as a janitor room with a mop sink and laundry facilities. As an added bonus, the neighbouring boardroom was incorporated into the life of the kitchen by installing a wall of windows for observation of all the cooking goings on.
